Carpet

Different styles of carpet

Carpet is an excellent choice for flooring in most rooms. Several different styles of carpet are available.

Berber/Loop

Berber Carpet, with its large, uncut loops of natural fibers, is a testament to durability. These loops, varying in size and usually made from wool or nylon, contribute to its dense and highly stain-resistant nature. However, it’s important to note that if one of the loops comes undone, it’s best to cut it rather than pull it, to prevent any damage to the carpet.

Shag/Frieze

Shag carpet, a versatile flooring option that was popular in the 70s and still is to this day, is now commonly referred to as Freize. Its short, twisted piles are great for busy areas, and the carpet fibers curl in different directions, effectively hiding footprints and any stains that may not get out right away. This adaptability makes it a great choice for families with kids and pets, instilling confidence in its suitability for their lifestyle.

Pattern

As the name implies, pattern carpet is your go-to if you want to explore different textures and patterns. This carpet comprises a cut-and-loop pile and usually features a few colors from the same color family.

Plush

Plush carpet comprises closely packed yarns that give it a soft, smooth-finished surface.

Textured

Textured Carpet comprises two-toned yarns and an uneven surface to give it its textured look. Its tight-twist construction helps resist soil from penetrating the pad underneath.
