7 inch wide engineered wood and 1/2 inch cork underlayment
Managing sound transmission between two floors is crucial when installing engineered hardwoods. For this project the builder asked for cork underlayment which not only managed the sound transmission between floors but also softened the floors when you walked on them. The cork provides a cushion that helps distribute weight so that it feels better to walk on. So not only did this project look amazing when we finished, its also very comfortable to walk on.
