Frequently Asked Questions

Price is determined on a project by project basis. When bidding a job we take into account the following:

  • Will any existing flooring need to be taken up?
  • Does the sub floor require any leveling?
  • Is there any furniture that would need to be moved to allow installation?
  • Will we need to remove and reset existing baseboard or replace with new baseboard on top of any hard surface flooring.
  • Actual installation cost varies depending on material being installed.

It really depends on the specific needs of the customer, but in general going with either Luxury Vinyl Planks or Carpet would be your best options.

Luxury Vinyl Planks maybe good for  because they are water and scratch resistant taking

Replacing flooring depends on the material. Below are a few examples of different materials to indicate it’s time to replace.

Carpet : If you start to see that the texture has started to matte down, or having a tough time getting stains out, the carpet may have run its course. Also if there are any smells that seem to linger even after you have vacuumed or washed the carpets the pad underneath may need to be replaced.

Luxury Vinyl Plank: If the boards have started to come apart at the seams there may have been some damage to the click lock system, which tends to get worse with time if left untreated.

Laminate: Over time small spills of water can make this material start to expand start coming out of place.

Engineered wood: If your engineered wood floors have lost its original shine, have been scratched, or taken on any water it might be a good time to consider new flooring.

TIle: If the grout around the tile has become loose or cracked it will begin to wear down the tile resulting in cracked tiles, and exposing the subfloor beneath to dust and water.

Hardwoods: While you can refinish hardwood floors if there has been any significant water damage, you should definitely consider replacing as soon as possible because moisture can get trapped between subfloor and hardwood creating mold in a matter of days.
